All this really does is punish/blacklist players for joining crappy guilds when they are trying to find their right fit. And guild allegiance is already rewarded, as its a prerequisite for entering in certain tournaments.

Good idea: Finding a way to label people's loyalty to their guilds.
Bad idea: Turning it into a title.

Really for a game that's called "Guild Wars" there really is very little guild interaction involved. I think the Guild aspect of the game should be revved up a bit.
None of these are new ideas. They've been kicked around in Sardelac many times before. I also don't think any of them will be/should be implemented in GW, but I think all should be considered for GW2.
1. More ranks within guild. All we have are Leader, Officer, Member. Should have more levels kinda like the titles here at guru. (Leader, XO, Senior Officers, Junior Officers, Loyal Member, Member, Raw Recruit, Cadet, etc)
2. Give the officers more powers. Ability to mute a member for X amount of time. Ability to mute alliance members. Ability to kick a guild from Alliance. Ability to kick members of other guilds in alliance. Ability to invite new members and kick current members. Ability to mute/kick other officers. The leader chooses which powers (if any) that each officer has.
3. More controls when setting up guilds and joining alliances.
- Other guild officers in alliance can mute my members (On/Off)
- Other guild officers in alliance can kick my members (On/Off)
- Minimum Faction donation per week: 50,000. (Set to 0 for no requirements.)
- Minimum Officer donation per week: 75,000
- Maximum inactivity time: 60 days
- Maximum Officer inactivity time: 7 days
- Penalty for not meeting requirements: (Autokick/Flagged to GL attention/No Penalty)
4. My stat sheet for new recruits. (See previous post)
5. Have more game activities centered around the guild. Currently all we have is GvG and AB. Need more exclusive content that requires a character to join a guild. Perhaps something like the challenge missions. Set up challenges that are triggered from the GH and warp the team to a Dragon's Throat type setting where you have a set goal. Display the top guild times and award prizes to the top guilds. Perhaps something like special minis for the players that participated or new banners for the GH.

/Notsigned because I am against all Titles that require no skill (i.e. PvE titles).
Players should be penalized for guild hopping, something like 1000 gp if you leave in 1 week, and inablity to join a guild for X amount of time.
Guild hoppers will always be a problem, some players expect to be handed out a stack of ectos the day they join. At this time there is no incentive for anyone to stay in a guild other than the quality of the guild itself. And since people are impossible to satisfy, you will always get guild hoppers.

this is a horrible idea since when ppl have ben in a guild for how ever long and earn points per hour or min then they can just leave their computer on.
Also some guilds say things they dont have and you dont find out because you cant find out until you are in, which would not make it fair to penelty them for it. Also wat if ur friends with the Guild leader he can promote u then demote then promote and u would just gain points and pointsand to give him the same amount of points u can just log in and out, this is a HORRIBLE idea and it wouldnt work at all.

I have done my fair share of guild hopping. Was in 6 different guilds in 2 weeks when I started GW, until I found a guild that I stayed with for a year. Then I wanted to get into PvP, so I started guild hopping in PvP guilds until I found a guild that I really liked.
True, guild hoppers are annoying, but a good guild knows how to keep its players. And even if a guild hopper leaves after just 2 days, you know he was not right for your guild anyway.
